Blue Sky Hub Co-op Ltd
Blue-sky thinking is the practice of looking forward into the future and imagining that all things are possible, that there are no limits to speak of……that the future is bright.
For the BLUE SKY HUB family, this is where we are at! Our house is our HOME, our staff are our extended FAMILY, and we THRIVE not just survive. This MISSION is underpinned by values of family, person-centred support, capacity building and quality care.
The household is made up of 2 young men, and Lachie the dog along with their dynamic team of Support Workers. This in turn is supported by their families who have forged this vision for the young men and their household. The two young men have a future before them full of possibility, growth, achievement and FUN! They are young men with Autism who are non-verbal, but this certainly doesn’t define them or limit their options.
Both young men have a fulfilling and active life that includes their midweek work program, volunteering at Taronga Zoo, going to the beach, paddle boarding, sailing, boogie boarding, trampolining, kayaking, walking in nature, watching movies, hanging on the couch, listening to music and eating pizza. They also help with all the jobs around the home and are always looking at ways to contribute more to the household.
