Join us for the SILC Awards Night to celebrate and honor the amazing work of our staff who support residents and collaborate with families to achieve great life outcomes.
The Awards recognise the achievements of our cooperatives and their staff who demonstrate excellence, passion, vision and commitment to supporting people with disability.
The Awards will also provide an opportunity to promote good practice in delivering services in a family governed cooperative model and will showcase the work of our cooperatives as a place of innovation and as a place for a rewarding and successful career for people with the right values and approach.
Lastly, the Awards will highlight the significant impact that SILC staff have on the lives of people with disabilities and the communities we live in.
Award Nomination Proposed Time Frames:
- Monday 26 August 2024: Nominations open
- Monday 28 October 2024: Nominations close 5:00 pm AEST
- Monday 11 November 2024: Finalists announced
- Friday 6 December 2024: Winners announced at the Awards Ceremony
Awards will be presented in:
Individual/Team Awards
- Service Award – For employees who have been with SILC for 5 or more years.
- Cooperative House: Team Member of the Year Award – Given to a team member selected by their colleagues in the House.
Organisation Wide Categories
- Excellence in Contemporary Practice
- Excellence in Community Engagement and Inclusion
- Outstanding Mentorship Award
- Rising Star Award
- Employee of the Year – Steve Anthony Founder’s Award
- Nomination can be using the online nomination form made by peers, supervisors, individuals with disability, family members or self nomination.
- Person nominating will need to provide a detailed description of why they person deserves the award by addressing how the person demonstrates the criteria for the award.
- Supporting materials such as testimonials, case studies, photos, videos or any relevant documentation can be submitted to support the nomination.
